Delayed onset muscle soreness!


Yesterdays Leg session was awesome loved every lil moment of it once i got the momentum underway! Hammys are in agony today just the way i like it, even managed to hit out a pb on Squats 85kg x 6 reps goal is by the end of the year to be comfortably be squatting 100kg ass to grass style lol!
Followed up training with teaching a Body Step class legs were on fire in the recovery track with the lunges and repeater knees (embracing the burn hehe).
Work out looked a lil like this:

Squats= 5 sets
Hack squat (feet close) = 2 sets
Leg ext supersetted with walking room lunges = 2 sets
Stiff legged deadlift = 3 sets
Lying leg curl= 2 sets
45 degree calf raise= 2 sets

All done heavy weights, i think my legs are starting to respect me a lil more haha they have no choice!
Todays just a cardio day HIIT on the cross trainer - 5 min warm up, 15min intervals and 10 min cool down followed with teaching a Body Jam class.

Hope everyone is having a good week, I'm looking forward to heading to the Sunny Coast for the Ifbb's in April, get to see some inspiring chickadee's and it will prompt me for a bit of motivation as comp prep starts not to long after that for me.

    WOW - 85kg squat, that's awesome girl and to have the goal of a 100kg is even better! I'd love to be able to squat that much - lol! Gee your legs must've been on fire afterwards - spesh after the Body Jam class. I hope to meet you in April and follow your comp prep, cheering you all the way!

  2. Hi Hanni! Awesome leg workout you had babe! Bet your legs are speaking very loudly to you now though! lol!

    I was thinking of you the other weekend when we were driving back from Byron. I saw the sign to Murwillumbah (sorry if that is misspelt) and I said to my hubby that you lived there!

    It would be great to meet up with you and Kristin one day at the Goldie, as we are all not really that far from each other. And I don't need much of an excuse to get my butt across to the beach!!!! hehehehe

    I am so happy for you that you are going well with your training. Can you send some of that mojo back my way for a while??????

    Awesome PB on the squats there girl!! I love getting leg DOMS....means I have done a good job!
    Sounds like you are going really well with everything, by the time you start comp prep you will be in a great spot!
